were 14 drug courts in existence or being planned in Nebraska. Five drug courts
had been operating for more than 2 years, 4 were recently implemented, and 5
were being planned at that time.

Of the offenders on parole in Nebraska during 2004, approximately 32% (279) of them were drug offenders.
